The USDA Section 504 Home Repair program provides loans (up to \(\$40,000\)) and grants (up to \(\$10,000\)) for very-low-income homeowners in rural areas to repair, improve, or modernize their homes, or remove health/safety hazards. Applicants must be the owner-occupant, unable to find affordable credit elsewhere, and for grants, age 62 or older. Serves Fountain, Montgomery, and Tippecanoe counties.
