The local chapter raises money for research, literature on cancer, and provides health services and supplies such as wigs and wheelchairs.  Volunteers are needed to provide transportation, and to assist with the Relay for Life, the  annual fund-raising event held in the summer.

Community volunteers are appointed by the courts to represent the best interests of children in abuse, neglect, and other custody issues.  Individuals wishing to serve as CASA volunteers should contact the Youth Service Bureau M regarding training dates.

Non-profit ecumenical Christian housing ministry that partners with families to build or renovate housing for purchase by the partner families. R.E.I.N. Dears is a comprehensive county-wide database that connects donors with families in need of assistance during the holiday season.  Volunteers are needed to help with data entry, volunteer coordination, and to sort presents.

A local service, which is interested in the moral, physical, and well-being of fellow citizens.  The Army’s main fund-raiser is through the Christmas season by bell ringing and funds provided through MUFFY.  Provides help with utilities prescriptions, clothing, transportation, rent and food

JUMP is similar to Big Brothers/Big Sisters in that it works to match adult mentors with young people between the ages of 6 and 17 who are in need of an additional positive adult role model.  Volunteers are needed to be mentors.

Volunteers are needed as mentors for young first-time mothers living at or near the poverty level.  Mentors share experience, cooping skills and providing friendship and emotional support.  Mentors help support work already being done in case management sessions.
