A humanitarian organization led by volunteers that help save lives and strengthen communities imparting hope and confidence along with practical skills through community training classes in First Aid and CPR as well as recertification classes.  These classes are taught monthly at the chapter house located at 113 South Water St, Crawfordsville.   To register call 362-3103

A program to help adults improve their basic education skills in reading, writing and math.  The program provides pre-GED and GED preparation, pre-employment and employability skills, and English as a second language (ESL).  The program works closely with the GED Testing Center which is also at Beard Learning Center.

Provides free classes for parents in GED preparation, English as a Second Language (ESL) employability, general academics, and parenting. Children 6 weeks to 6 years of age attend high-quality early childhood classes while parents attend class.  Parents must be working to achieve an educational goal. Priority is given to those working to move off public assistance.  Meals and some transportation provided

Agriculture & Natural Resources

The agriculture and natural resources (ANR) program reaches beyond traditional agriculture to meet the needs of citizens and homeowners. Homeowners benefit from ANR Extension Educators through information about pest identification and control, home lawns& gardens. Many people enjoy serving as a volunteer in the Master Gardeners program. Educational venues include personal consultations, group meetings, newspaper articles, newsletters and radio. Production agriculture is served through programs such as private pesticide applicator recertification programs (PARP), and through topics such as integrated pest management, developing new agriculture enterprises, natural resource management, farm management, agronomy and animal sciences.

A wide range of project choices are available for urban or rural youth interests. Junior Leaders are 4-H members in grades 7-12 that develop leadership through service learning.
