Community volunteers are appointed by the courts to represent the best interests of children abuse and neglect victims and in custody cases. Any child declared by the Montgomery County Courts to be in need of services can be matched with a CASA volunteer.

Emergency shelter and supportive services are available to all victims of abuse. Services are free and are available to men, women, and children regardless of age or economic status. Must be a victim of violence, or living with the threat of violence including leaving a child abuse situation.

Free legal counseling and representation in court and before government agencies in certain civil matters (no criminal cases) to individuals and elderly adults. Income requirements to access services. Must live or have a legal problem in our 14-county service area. Application may be completed over the phone or in person. No appointment necessary.

A voluntary alternative juvenile court program where teens act as court personnel and jurors to adjudicate juvenile offenses deferred to the program by the County Probation Department. Juvenile offenders completing the program have their offence removed from their record.
